TPC Tampa Bay announced today it was recently named in GolfWorld Magazine's 2010 Readers Choice: Top 50 Public Courses. Beating out many of the nation's most decorated golf establishments, TPC Tampa Bay came in at number thirteen, the highest ranked southwest Florida golf course.
The inaugural ranking, showcasing the nation's top public, private and resort golf courses, was compiled through data collection of the magazine's readers throughout the past six months. This ranking, unlike the numerous other rankings of its kind, gives merit not only for being a great golf course but for the overall experience you get from a day at one of these clubs. Rankings were based on 21,000 individual golf course ratings and more than 252,000 criteria evaluations including course conditions, pace of play, service, amenities and reputation, among others; proving there's more to great golf than just the course itself. More than 46,000 votes were tallied and 600,000 criteria evaluations led to Golf World's Readers' Choice selections.
