Located in the southwest corner of Brooklyn, just below the Verrazano Bridge and across from the Atlantic Ocean, Dyker Beach Golf Course offers both exhilarating play and extraordinary event services. This 6,438-yard par 72 course was originally designed by Tom Bendelow in 1897, then redesigned by Jon Van Kleek in 1935. Originally a private club but now City-owned, Dyker Beach was the most played course in the world in the 1950s and '60s.
A slice of waterside history, Dyker Beach continues to offer a challenging and enjoyable course, complemented by a recently renovated event facility that includes two exquisite catering halls, a full-service bar and grill, and a specially designed ceremony site.
It is at Dyker Beach where Tiger Woods father then-US Army Col. Earl Woods caught golf bug in 1972 while stationed at Ft. Hamilton.
Like many NYC courses Dyker Beach is currently undergoing a series of improvements including construction of a new clubhouse, and installation of cart paths throughout the course.
