Saxon Woods' rolling, wooded landscape gives this sporting course tremendous character. It was designed by golf course architect Tom Winton and opened to the public in 1931.
Today all 18 of Saxon Woods tees have been completely renovated, along with several greens.
The 18-hole "Saxon Woods" course at the Saxon Woods Golf Course facility in Scarsdale, New York features 6,293 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72.
The first hole at Saxon Woods is by no means hard, but you have to be careful with your first shot or this sure birdie will turn into a bogey right before your eyes. It's only 311 yards, and it dog legs to the right, but don't get caught in between clubs
Visitors can use the pool, picnic areas and the 18 hole miniature golf course.
