Tom Fazio designed this astonishingly beautiful layout with dramatic cliff-lined fairways, waterfalls, natural limestone caves and superb Tiff Eagle Bermuda greens. Our signature golf course provides golfers with 18 holes of pure pleasure and no lack of challenge through plenty of elevation change and visual impact.
From the longest tees it features 6,956 yards of golf for a par of 72. Established in 1986, The Fazio Foothills course is highly rated by experts. The Dallas Morning News consistently listed several holes from the course among the State's Best or Most Beautiful Holes (holes #12, 4, 9, 16, 10, 18). Golfweek magazine named the Foothills #4 among America's 50 Best Resort Courses. And the course is also named the Best Resort Course in Texas.
Most courses have a signature hole or two, but it's been said that the Foothills course makes it difficult to choose. Hole No. 9 is a dramatic par-3 that always gets some votes. This hole plays to 178 yards from the tips, making it a relatively short hole that also plays downhill. From the tee, players take aim at a split-level green, which is one of the largest on the course, but slopes severely from top to bottom. Tee shots must carry a cascade of creeks and waterfalls to safely reach this putting surface.
