The Marsh Hawk course opened in 1985, and has small undulating greens with strategically placed bunkers. It was designed by Dan Maples. It features 6,715 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72.
Marsh Hawk's greatest challenge is narrow fairways and strategically placed bunkers; therefore, this course is the most popular course in Ford's Colony Country Club.
The course has hosted two Virginia State Opens, along with several qualifiers for the PGA Tour's Michelob Championship and the Nationwide Tour's Henrico County Open.
